The album presents 22 works by the artist Gustav Klimt, one of the founders and vivid representatives of the art of Art Nouveau in Europe in the early twentieth century.
Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) was born in Vienna in the family of engraver and jeweler, graduated from the Vienna School of Art Crafts
(studied from 1876 to 1883), in which he reached significant technical skill. In the inner mood, it was predisposed to decorative art. However, he began with a good academic tradition in the historical genre, creating compositions on mythological plots. Over time, Gustav Klimt began to turn to allegories more often, bearing a noticeable effect of symbolism. He also wrote numerous portraits, mainly female, in which he often bizarrely demonstrates his great love for decorativeness. Klimt"s works of applied art, as well as its mosaic compositions and theatrical scenery aroused wide interest among the audience
