Konstantin Vasilievich Mochulsky (1892-1947) is a wonderful Russian thinker and writer, undeservedly forgotten by the wide reader. A graduate of the Faculty of History and Filology of St. Petersburg University, a versatile man, in 1919 he emigrated and lived and worked in a foreign land until the end of his days: first in the University of Sofia, and since 1922-at the Russian branch of the University of Paris. Forever inextricably connected by spiritual roots with his homeland, a deeply believer, K.V. Mochulsky in the book "Great Russian writers of the 19th century" considers the works of five authors (Pushkin, Lermontov, Gogol, Dostoevsky and Tolstoy) in connection with his Christian views. The main conclusion of the author: "Russian literature is following the trail of Christ." A comprehensive analysis of the works, an original approach to the very process of creativity, close attention to the personality of the writer, to his soul mainly - all this favorably distinguishes the work of K.V.
