The monograph is dedicated to the two most important genres of the academic environment - an academic article and a lecture. The author’s focus is the typical features of these genres, as well as new characteristics that he appeared by the influence of the Anglo-American communication models and transformations in the value landmarks of modern societies. Based on the interdisciplinary approach and analysis of a diverse empirical corps, the author determines the place of the academic article in the modern academic context, illustrates the main parameters of its design, while considering the sociocultural specificity of this genre. Lecture discourse was studied as an actual genre of the academic sphere, which has an obvious strategic orientation and transformed under the influence of new trends in the academic environment
