The authors of this book met when the investigator of the Finnish police Yurka Seppal called the journalist of the criminal chronicle of Riste Rumpunen for interrogation. Their cooperation resulted in a detailed and comprehensive study of fraud in the world of art. They collected information on the basis of their own notes, interviews with scammers, interrogation protocols, court decisions and archival materials. In the book, they talk about crimes in Finland, in Russia and around the world, they say what happened hundreds of years ago and today, explain how they fake the paintings and how these fakes detect. Some stories are so incredible that they may even seem invented, but they are all real
