Functional literacy shows how much a person can use the knowledge, skills and skills in real life situations, it records the necessary level of personality readiness to carry out its activities.
Tasks for the development of functional literacy are not widely used in the practice of the Russian school. OGE and the exam are aimed at assessing objective knowledge - knowledge of facts and skills to solve typical problems. They do not evaluate competence as the ability to act in a non -standard life situation.
To form and evaluate functional literacy in international practice, a special format of tasks is used. The structure and content of such tasks differ significantly from traditional educational and cognitive tasks. The understanding of these fundamental differences creates the conditions for the selection and independent design of tasks for the development of each type of functional literacy, which will allow the teacher ready to change to new quality of education. This book is devoted to the features of these tasks and the methodology of their development.
The publication is intended for teachers, heads of educational institutions, methodologists, employees of the pedagogical education system and a wide circle of pedagogical community
