Vasily Andreevich Zhukovsky in the history of Russian literature became famous as an unsurpassed romantic poet, critic and brilliant translator. He discovered the genre of elegy and ballads for his own literature, and from comic “home” poems rose to deep philosophical lyrics.
Many translations and transfers of Zhukovsky became classic. In them, the poet primarily captured the tone and spirit of the sample, experiencing dramatic situations. So in the ballad "Forest Tsar" we hear the penetrating voice of the narrator, who is sorry for the sick child, taking feverish delirium for reality. The poet not only conveys his father’s conversation with his son, he himself feels the fear of the child and the powerlessness of his father to help him.
For secondary and senior school age
