Loi Fuller (1862-1928) is an American dancer who stood at the origins of the Art Nouveau dance. Fuller performed dance improvisations, accompanied by classical music, was the forerunner of Isadora Duncan, and had an influence on subsequent generations of Modern dance performers. Her memoirs “Fifteen years of my life” (Fr. "Quinze Ans de Ma Vie") with an introduction written by Anatole France, first saw the light in Paris in 1908. The memoirs were written in a lively, exciting language. Fuller recalls his meetings with O. Rodin, A. Dumas-Sin, Sarah Bernard, Isadora Duncan (to which, despite the well-known rivalry, she treated with great respect) and other great contemporaries.
