The book is devoted to the participation of Russian manufacturers of bell products - breeders and artisans - in Russian and international exhibitions held in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Until 1917, it covers three interconnected topics:
- the history of the exhibition movement in Russia (economic history),
- a description of the bell exhibitors and prize-winners of these exhibitions (campanology),
- awards that received that received Domestic bell exhibitors at Russian and foreign exhibitions (pharyberry)
A vast illustrative material is given: advertising of bell factories depicting exhibition awards, photographs of bells and bells with exhibition awards cast on them. The "secrets" of some exhibition medals are open, a number of established errors are overcome
