In this book, written by the famous critic and historian of literature P.S. Kogan, a review of the monuments of Greek literary creativity is given. The book consists of three parts, the first of which explores epic poems, including the creations of Homer and Hesiod, various directions of Greek lyrical poetry are understood in the second part, the third part is devoted to the Greek dramatic art. The author not only studies the samples of great literature that have survived to our time, but also gives a characteristic of different historical eras, which belongs to the heyday of the activity of a particular poet, and also describes the mood of society in these eras.
