The unique figure of Andrei Platonov has long become the subject of the interest of many researchers and critics. His creative activity as a writer and publicist, electrical engineering and reclamer is well described and, it would seem, leaves less and less space for unexpected turns, allowing you to ask new questions to a well -known material. In the book of K. Kaminsky, such a turn was found. Its novelty is in an attempt to enter an intellectual history related to the Soviet electrification project and its utopian horizons in the dynamic process of poetic forming. As a result, electricity appears not only the subject of Platonov’s plot obsession, but also with the energy that feeds his electropoetics. K.
