Continuation of the first part of the publication Eastern antiquities on the Volkhonka. The new book of the series tells about the monuments of hall No. 6, which belong to the era of Hellenistic and Roman Egypt. With a few exceptions, they all come from the meeting of Vladimir Semenovich Golenishchev (1856–1947) - an orientalist, the first Russian Egyptologist and an outstanding collector of antiquities. The publication of the selected artifacts-the famous Fayum portraits, funeral veils and masks, sarcophagi and cardboard-is accompanied by a thorough story about the Egyptian funeral rite of the Greco-Roman period.
