ECERS-3. Scales for a comprehensive assessment of the quality of education in preschool educational organizations

The ECERS-3 scale is an processed edition ECERS-R and includes changes made both in the content and in the use of the scale. ECERS-3 is designed to assess the quality of educational activities of preschool organizations implementing educational programs for children from 2.5 to 5 years.
The scales can be used by the heads of preschool organizations to evaluate the effectiveness of their activities and improve the quality of work, educators - for self -esteem, employees of regulatory authorities - for monitoring.
The worldly recognized reliability and validity of the scales ECERS-3 make them especially useful for studying the activities and assessing the quality of the formation of preschool organizations.
In the ECERS-3, six subsidies are used: 1) the subject-spatial environment, 2) the supervision and care of children, 3) speech and literacy, 4) types of activity, 5) interaction, 6) structuring the program. Each of them provides for a 7-point assessment: 1 (unsatisfactory), 3 (minimally), 5 (good) and 7 (excellent) To increase the accuracy of evaluating each of the qualitative indicators, explanations and examples are added to the book.
