When a woman becomes a mother, she does not cease to be a woman, friend, colleague, wife. Norwegians understood this very well. They perfectly understand that the child is born in a family in which both parents have equal rights and obligations. My husband and I moved from Belarus to Norway 12 years ago. When children appeared in our family, we began to notice the difference in raising children, understanding the family and the place in it of the parent and the child. At first, it seemed to us that Norwegian children are bad, inaccurate and selfish. Years passed before we realized that a girl jumping in a puddle, with disheveled hair, stained with mud with a jacket and torn pants, was happy. After all, her parents calmly watch her drinking coffee on the terrace. They are all happy and free. At the same time, most Norwegians remain conservative people and honor family values, not forgetting about respect for the personality of the child.
