The album "Dostoevsky, world literature and religion in the art of the artist V. Linitsky" includes works written in the 1950-2000s. They are reproduced according to the originals - graphic sheets, picturesque canvases preserved in state and private archives. But in view of the large losses of originals, many of them are given from photographs. V. Linitsky created portraits of F.M. Dostoevsky, illustrative series to his “poor people "," white nights",“ humiliated and offended ”, "sleep of a ridiculous person", "brothers Karamazov", they appear for the first time in this edition in exhausting fullness and collected in a special section. Dostoevsky is of the main interest of Linitsky -illustrator, but not the only one: Russia, the West, East - this is the range of his appeals to outstanding works of world literature - Gogol, L. Andreev, Dante, S. Zweiga, Akutagawa, etc. This writers are also devoted to a special section . From the painting of Linitsky - spectral, with the transmission of the sacredness of light addressed to Orthodoxy, the cycles of "Seasons", separate fragments of "twelve holidays", "Mother of God holidays" and other landscapes are presented. Partially reflected in personal and group exhibitions in Russia and abroad, the artistic activity of V. Linitsky is still only limited in separate publications.
The released album includes about one hundred and fifty images, which makes up most of the artist created by the artist, and this is the first time a vault, which is multifaceted creativity of Linitsky, it occupies a special place in the visual arts, bringing a new spiritual content to it.
Placing in the album of book illustrations is built according to sections in accordance with the classification of writers, quotes are selected for illustrations, which makes it possible not only to consider, but also to read works through the prism of artistic material placed in it. In some sections, detailed statements of the artist himself, revealing the meanings, formal solutions, creative search laid in images.
The illustrative part is preceded by art history articles by G. Ponomareva. A biographical certificate of the artist is attached, as well as a list of his graphic and picturesque work presented in the album indicating the storage places
