Doorway to Mathematics. An exciting club for 3rd and 4th graders

In this book, we present an author’s approach and a way of conducting exciting mathematical classes (circles) We offer specially compiled material in the form of sets of tasks oriented at about 9-11 years. Each task contains comments that describe frequent errors, typical misconceptions and difficulties, children"s reactions to some tasks, a number of tips are given, leading and developing issues, with which the children will be able to independently go to solve problems. We offer to get acquainted with our experience in conducting such circles (for more than 14 years) Classes will allow the children to come to mathematics through interest, surprise, intuition, search and discoveries. The book can be useful not only to school teachers and teachers of additional education, but also to interested parents for classes with junior students
