Melnikov’s house is a masterpiece of architectural avant -garde, designed by Konstantin Melnikov in Moscow. This is a rare example of an architect’s private city house in the USSR. Melnikov planned to use his experimental house-masterly as a prototype used in mass housing construction.
A unique volumetric and spatial solution of this building and memorable facades with hexagonal sots windows allow us to attribute Melnikov’s house to the most recognizable architectural monuments in the world.
This publication is devoted not only to the history of the construction of the house and its existence in the 20th century, but also by the history of its restoration. The book published the latest research, previously unpublished archival materials. Modern photos will find out about the restored memorial atmosphere of the house
