The first section of the book is dedicated to the expanded consideration of the determining results of the laser cutting process of physical laws. These include: the dependence of the coefficient of the reflection of metals on the temperature of their heating, the passage of the assistant gas along the cutting front and its effect on the removal of the liquid phase formed on the surface of the front, the need to limit the maximum possible cutting rate, optimization of the cut width at its entrance, a more effective method of localization radiation, coordination of the focal distances of the focusing lens and laser collimator, the impact on the cutting indicators of thermal deformations.
In the other two sections of the book, the results of the results carried out in the NPC "lasers and equipment TM" in the period 2005-2014 are given. Experimental studies of the patterns of laser cutting of metals most often used by domestic industry. These are structural steel, the cutting of which is carried out depending on its thickness in the environment of compressed air or oxygen, stainless steel and aluminum alloys of various brands, the cutting of which must be carried out among neutral gases, as well as a number of other metals necessary for the manufacture of products of various purposes.
Based on the above and analysis of the published data of two leading foreign firms, successfully working in the field of laser cutting, it has become possible to formulate the conditions for its conduct, allowing both increased qualitative results of this process and its productivity and experimentally confirm them.
