The collection "Damned Critics" united several unique authors under one cover who look at the modern literary process in Russia without engaged enthusiasm and pink premium glasses, evaluating texts on the Hamburg account. Their sharp, evidence-based, often sarcastic analysis of the works that entered all the “short lists” and declared almost the peak of verbal creativity forces us to overestimate many “masterpieces” imposed on us and think about how honest official criticism is with readers.
This collection is the first, which has no analogues, an attempt to summarize an alternative look at our new literature.
The book will be useful to philologists, school and university teachers of literature, as well as to everyone who wants to independently understand what modern Russian writers should really read and promote, and about which it is enough to know that they are the laureates of the "Big Book" or "Boker".
