Miguel de Cervantes (1547 - 1616) - Spanish writer, playwright, poet, military.
novel “Cunning Idalgo Don Kikhot Lamanch” - one of the most popular works of world literature, a fascinating book about the adventures of the small nobleman Alonso Podshana, who imagined himself medieval knight. Having read the knightly novels, Alonso Khuslana takes the knightly name Don Quixote, chooses a lady of heart to Dulsinei from Toboss, puts on knightly armor, saddles the old horse of Rosinant and, together with her weapons - shepherd Sancho Pansa, goes in search of real knightly adventures.
Initially, the novel was conceived as a parody of knightly novels. But gradually turns into history about hope and despair, wisdom and folly. And the names of the main characters are Don Quixote or the knight of the sad image, Sancho Panza, Dulsinei Tobossian become common.
Don Quixote is not afraid to seem ridiculous in his desire to make the world better. “All my aspirations have always been aimed at a noble goal - to do good to everyone and not to do evil to anyone.”
