The proposed textbook was prepared at the faculties of pedagogical education and philosophical Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov. It is a systematization of extensive theoretical and practical material on key issues of the theory of culture of the XX and early XXI centuries. The book presents the author’s presentation of modern concepts of culture as a whole and its main structural elements in the dynamics of development. The publication considers the theoretical and acceptance of culture, the relationship of culture with morality, religion, science is revealed, and elitist and mass culture is analyzed.
