Color Empire. Russia to shocks

Sergey Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorsky-a discoverer of color photography in Russia, a research scientist, a student of Dmitry Mendeleev. For almost a century, his name was forgotten, and only at the beginning of the XXI century, thanks to modern technologies, did we have the opportunity to get acquainted with the collection of the master and the great inventor.
In the first decade of the 20th century, Sergey Prokudin-Gorsky conceived and implemented several large-scale photo expeditions in the regions of the Russian Empire, traveling in a specially equipped railway wagon provided to him by the Ministry of Railways.
