The first book, holistically covering the history and culture of Chuvash, living in a whistle, which covers the regions of Tatarstan, the Ulyanovsk region and the Chuvash Republic. The history of settlement and resettlement, origin and development of settlements, traditional economy, national architecture, national suit, ethnic linguistic culture, holidays, family rites, musical and poetic creativity, and various genres of folklore are considered in detail. The work was completed by an author’s team, including ethnographers, musicologists, sociologist, folklorist and linguist. The material for the book is collected in complex folklore-ethnographic expeditions and archives.
