It is based on the plot of the famous fairy tale of the Grimm brothers "Genzel and Gretel", which goes through its roots in European folklore of the early 14th century. A clear number structure allows you to perform ballet with both separate dance numbers and groups of dance numbers connected at the request of the choreographer. The ballet is presented in the author’s transcription and has a number of new heroes, scenes and plot additions.
