The monograph is devoted to the disclosure of the national originality of Russian literature on childhood, its stable ideas about childhood as part of human life associated with subsequent life stages. The work presents a picture of the development of childhood theme in Russian literature of the XVIII-XIX centuries, the main trends of changes in artistic and visual means in Russian literature on childhood are shown, Russian literary ideas about childhood with the Western European tradition of the XVIII-XIX centuries are compared.
