Cheat sheet on Russian history. For schoolchildren and their parents. A1 format poster.
This is an unusual cheat sheet - with the help of mnemonics, it allows you to easily navigate in Russian history for centuries - all eleven centuries on one sheet. After 15 minutes, you will never forget in which century there was a Battle of Kulikovo, and in which - the ice battle, when Peter I ruled, and when - Alexander I. You can easily figure out Russian dynasties, remember when Russia became Russia, the principalities - the principalities - the kingdom, and then the empire.
How does it work: read 3 times, retell to your parents, grandmother or friend, check yourself on control issues - and you"re done!
In order to navigate in our history, you need to remember only four centuries: 10, 13, 16 and 18. Why? Here is an example for you: 13 - "unhappy" century. It is easy to remember: the number 13 is unlucky in folk beliefs, and just in this century the Mongol -Tatars attacked Russia, and on the other the crusaders! If in the 13th century the Mongol -Tatars easily captured Russia, then in the 12th century there was fragmentation - Russia broke up into separate principalities. If the Mongol -Tatars came in the 13th century, then the Battle of Kulikovo - the first victory of the Russians under the command of Dmitry Donskoy - was in the 14th century. Hooray! Three centuries you already know!
