The catalog included more than 600 works of 162 authors transferred to V.A. Petritsky Museum of the History of the Gulag. Many of the books included in the collection were published in the 1920s and 1930s, were removed from appeals in connection with repressions regarding their authors and were never printed. Only a small part of these books was reprinted in the 1960s and 1970s, after the start of the process of rehabilitation of victims of political repression.

The project of the catalog of publications of books of authors repressed during the years of Soviet power was developed by the specialists of the Gulag Museum in collaboration with Willy Alexandrovich Petritsky, a doctor of philosophical sciences, an honorary member of the Russian Academy of Cosmonautics, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, brother of Vladimir Alexandrovich Petritsky (06.24.1933 - 03/06/2015), a well -known bibliophile, owner and collector of a unique library of works of repressed writers.
The project is aimed at popularizing the publications of books of repressed Soviet authors, the formation and public representation of the book monument to repressed writers. It is positioned as scientific-educational, memorial. It is based on the catalog of books of Soviet Russian -speaking authors and translated publications, included in the library of V. A. Petritsky and stored in the funds of the Museum of the History of the Gulag.
The publication can be of interest to professional historians, literary critics, culturalists, as well as a wide reader"s audience.
