This publication, dedicated to various aspects of the Japanese written culture, is distinguished by variegation and mosaic. Everything included in the book was written between 2008 and 2017. The first part of the book is made up of copyright articles about the Japanese and Chinese letter (Calligraphy "Sudo/Shuf), about some calligrators, as well as transfers from Japanese chosen articles and an essay on the history of calligraphy, about the understanding of the phenomenon of the authorship of Japanese calligrapes and historians. The second part is fragments of the author’s prose, balancing on the verge between the fiction, diary and essay in the spirit of the Japanese dzuhitsa (lit. "following the brush") The third part is represented by verses and translations from Japanese poetry with rare interspersed translations of prose. The choice of Japanese authors (National Semi, Tanizaki Dzyuniitiro, Akutagawa Ryunoske, Dazai Osamu, Ibaragi Noriko and others) is dictated exclusively by personal affection and sympathy for them. The book contains a rich illustrated material: first of all, these are the works of Chinese and Japanese calligraphs, as well as drawings and photographs from the author’s archive. The publication is designed for the widest circle of lovers of electoral and subjective views on Japanese culture
