The publication is dedicated to the work of the American artist Boris Lurie (1924–2008), who represented the non -conformist movement in the framework of the post -war art of the United States and acted as one of the founders of the NO! Art. The album of illustrations is preceded by a scientific article in which the dramatic fate of Boris Lurie and the evolution of his figurative language, aimed at rethinking the principles of pop art and abstract expressionism, are considered against the wide background of the artistic life of the second half of the twentieth century.
