Fundamental work on the main keepers of information, carriers of the foundations of world religions, the source of education and education, the container of knowledge - books. The history of the emergence of writing was described, starting from the stage of creating written texts from different peoples. A book of books is considered in detail - a Bible playing an unprecedented role in world culture. Ancient works, medieval codes, manuscript Western European and Slavic books have been studied. Much attention is paid to the Dutch printer Elsevers, books published in the Enlightenment and Literary works included in the Golden Fund of World Culture.
