The catalog continues a series of publications dedicated to the noble book of Germany, the fragments of which were moved to the USSR as a result of World War II, and then entered the funds of Soviet libraries. In 1945, when trophy brigades selected books to be sent to the Soviet Union, the York family from Klein-Ols in Silesia totaled about 120 thousand volumes and was one of the largest collections of its time. Its composition, among other rarities, was the library of Romance Ludwig Tika acquired in the 19th century. The publication presents a complete list of few books in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and also contains information related to the history of their movement and distribution into libraries after the war. The book also publishes the history of York von Vartenburg written by Count V. von Moltke, related in the 20th century. With resistance in Germany.
