The book discusses possible violations of the reader development of deaf -blind children and the causes of these violations, explains why traditional teaching methods could not ensure success in preparing for independent reading of this very complex category of potential readers.
The system of detection of violations in reader development, their elimination and prevention created during many years of research is set out and substantiated. The tasks, content, methods and techniques of the targeted formation of the basic components of reader activity are presented. The principles of organizing a circle of affordable reading for children who are on the initial steps of reader development are disclosed. It is shown how to use the results obtained when working with deaf -blind children to clarify general ideas about the stages, conditions and possible violations of the reader"s development in normal.
