The book talks about an unusual genre - the architecture of the laboratory. The development of science in the 1920-1930s required the architecture of the organization of new spaces for experiments and their technical support. Bioster in Koltusha is an autonomous research complex built for academician Ivan Pavlov in the first mid-1930s. The architectural decision of the town was developed with the participation of Innocent Bezpalov. Wooden buildings that have been preserved to the present are not like Soviet architecture. An individual style with European roots, the reflection of Pavlov’s personal requests and the ingenuity of the architect Bezpalov - this is what allows us to talk about the Pavlovsk Koltusha as a unique monument of history and architecture
