The publication was prepared for the first personal exhibition of the American video artist Bill Viola (March 2 - May 30, 2021, the Mlime of A.S. Pushkin) The exposition presents works created from 2000 to 2014 and united by the topics of human passions and natural elements. The catalog includes texts about the main motives of the Viola’s work and about the exhibits of the exhibition (O. Shishko), about the development of the concepts of “exalted” (R. Arya) in them, about the features of the production of video works (K. Perov) and about the history of their exhibiting in Russia (a . Jeus), as well as an interview with D.J. Hanhard with the artist himself
