The book discusses one of the most significant features of Russian symbolism, the theurgical basis of symbolist worldview. We are talking about creativity - and, wider, "life -making" - the three largest representatives of the symbolist school, belonging to various literary generations: "senior" symbolist D.S. Merezhkovsky, "Mladosimvolists" Andrei Bely and Alexander Blok.
The researcher is focused on religious and philosophical searches of Russian symbolists, their evolution, transformation, mutual coincidences and significant intersections. The idea of the transformation of the world determined the very core of symbolism, was of great importance in the worldview and work of artists of this direction in art. The book sequentially and multifacetively shows the tragedy of speculative utopian views, characteristic not only of the consciousness of poets, but also to a significant part of the cultural society of the early 20th century
