What binds differently - different texts, different phenomena, different events? What is the line between random and logical? What are the intellectual and emotional preferences motivated? In the new book of Konstantin Bogdanov, these issues are posed as defining the essence of philological and historical and cultural work, important not only as the skill of disciplinary theory and practice, but also as the experience of individual and collective self-reflection. If we assume that the interpretation of anything makes sense, then it should have its own causes and consequences. The book includes articles on various topics - literature, folklore, scientific and religious ideas, collecting and alternative medicine, ideology and (a) social behavior - but they are all dictated by the author’s interest in historical facts, "freedom of will" and life choice.
