This book is the first attempt to reconstruct one of the key plots of forced modernization of Ukrainian culture in the 20th century - the history of literary theory and criticism in the Soviet part of Ukraine in the 1920th - early 1930s. A lot has been written about Ukrainian cultural modernization of 1920, however, for special cases and ideological preferences, a big picture is sometimes not visible - a real revolution in literary thought and technology that occurred in the conditions of Soviet construction. This is a story about how the public -breeding project intertwined with the process of the formation of the nation.
In the "Atlantis of Soviet National Modernism", a wide cultural-historical and political-ideological context of the development of Ukrainian literary criticism is carefully recreated, taking into account the complex relationship between universal avant-garde concepts and a modern national-oriented culture.
