Letters about the aesthetic education of the great German poet and playwright of the 18th century Friedrich Schiller were not published in Russia for 50 years. Three generations of our teachers grew up, not knowing the aesthetic works of this master of the word. But it was he who drew the attention of the educated public to the fact that without turning to high art it is impossible to form a virtuous and happy person. Schiller developed such an unexpected pedagogical method as educating the beautiful, announced the importance of seeing and understanding the beauty whether it is manifested in the actions of people, nature or in the fruits of creative work. According to his thoughts, it is beauty, having come to every school and for every lesson, that is able to form the souls of children harmonious. The poet and thinker, he was the first to indicate the need for a state approach to aesthetic education of man. About all this and not only in the book of the anthology of humane pedagogy
