Art and city

The book "Art and City" describes the main directions and trends in the development of street art from the beginning of the 20th century to the present. The publication, which saw the light in 2016, was the first book in Russian, which claims to complete an analysis of the global phenomenon of street art, which includes in the world context and the situation in Russia.
The second edition is supplemented by the coverage of the events that occurred after 2016. The book also includes several monologues from pioneers of street art scenes, compiled on the basis of an interview taken by the author. In addition, the publication has significantly expanded the part about the New York graffiti scenes, a new description of border street practices that are at the junction of art and activism have been added. The chapter dedicated to Russian street art has also been significantly added.
