Arithmetic tasks. School mathematical circles

The third brochure of the series" School Mathematical Mugs" is devoted to the text tasks solved by the "arithmetic ”way. It contains six classes in which tasks are selected mainly on working with schoolchildren of grades 5-6.
All given plot problems are solved by direct reasoning arising from an analysis of a particular situation. Of course, most of them can be solved "algebraically" (using equations), but at the initial stage of training, mastering the arithmetic method seems very important for the development of logical thinking of schoolchildren, for the acquisition of the skills of analyzing the text and the ability to reason and draw the right conclusions.
We hope that the book will be interesting to teachers of mathematics, leaders of mathematical circles, students of pedagogical universities and everyone who is engaged in schoolchildren.
