This publication is the first experience of a comprehensive study of the architectural activities of the British in Russia, where the task is solved thanks to the involvement of extensive archival, bibliographic and illustrative material.
In the first chapter, the buildings of the initial pore are traced: the construction of manufactory enterprises, the construction of commercial courts and private dwellings in one way or another related to trade turnover and bold initiatives of the English employees of the Moscow Company.
The second chapter considers the four Russian emperors who came entirely during the reign of at once (from the era of Catherine II to the time of Nicholas I) the very versatile architectural activity of the eminent British: C. Cameron, R. Adam, W. Wayet, V. Gesta and A. Menelas.
