The Italian artist Giuseppe Archimboldo wrote his portraits-dumbenders outside of any art schools and traditions. Archimboldo gained fame in Europe after thirty years, becoming a court artist at the court of the Habsburgs. The monarchs were enlightened people, great art lovers, so Archimboldo had a wide opportunity to implement extravagant picturesque talents
