Archimboldo created portraits of his heroes ... from fruits, vegetables, flowers and many other objects. Fantastic images seemed to be an invention that was not related to reality. However, the grotesque was only by the way to an accurate and vivid characteristic of images.
Giuseppe Archimboldo lived and created in the 16th century. He was successful in life and work. The rulers loved him, and the life of the master at court was bright and diverse.
