Archangel"s Estate. Architectural Graphics

On the basis of new scientific research and archival surveys of the last two decades, the catalog published the entire complex of architectural graphics on the famous estate of the princes of the Yusupov from the collection of the State Museum of the Estate "Arkhangelskoye", and many drawings are presented for the first time. This allows you to take a fresh look at the history of the creation and existence of the entire palace and park ensemble and evaluate its “backstage”-modest official and outbuildings, both in the Arkhangelsk and in Goretin and funnels, and sometimes distinguished by a high level of performance and stylistic diversity. They had the same "programmatic" value for the owner as the front part of the estate.
The proposed catalog sheds light on the pro -provenance of many valuable graphic materials, including the so -called "Golitsyn album", which contains drawings of the authors of the best buildings of Arkhangelsk - the palace according to the project of J.-J. Gerna, terraces, presumably according to the project of J. Trombara, the library during the whim of the project of J. Putondi.
Contrary to the widespread opinion that the Archangelskoye architectural graphics were the executors of the Arkhangelsk estate, the fact of attracting N. B. Yusupov to the production of students of the Architectural School of the Kremlin Building Expedition, the head of which he has been since 1814, was also justified in the catalog. The assumption is expressed that N. B. Yusupov made an attempt to catalog architectural graphics according to Arkhangelsky just as in the 1820s. He created a "drawn catalog", his art meeting, in which drawings of paintings, sculptures and individual objects of decorative art are placed.
