Amazed space. Reflections on the work of Eduard Steinberg

Eduard Steinberg (1937-2012) is a unique figure in domestic art. Non-Conformist artist, he restored continuity with the ideas of Suprematism, symbolism and the traditions of the Russian icon, at the same time in the minimalist field, relevant for all European art. This book is an attempt to comprehend the artist’s creative path, to present the coordinates in which the formation of his unique concept of the "metaeometry" took place. The articles included in the collection are designed to interpret Steinberg’s painting, enter it in the tradition of geometric abstraction, as well as trace the evolution of the artist in the context of the era. Among the authors are Evgeny Schiffer, Vasily Rakitin, Boris Groys, Vitaly Patsyukov, Victor Pivovarov, Domenic Fernandez, Yves Micha, Jean -Claude Markade and others.
