The book is dedicated to the life and work of the painter and graphics, illustrator of children"s books Alexander Nikolaevna Jacobson (1903-1966) This is the first edition, which most fully represent both images of the artist’s paintings and drawings, as well as her own texts and thoughts about herself and her art.
Pupil K.S. Petrova-Vodkina and P.N. Filonova, better known as the book designer of the famous Marshakovo-Labedevsky Detgiz of the Border of the 1920-1930s, Alexander Jacobson for many decades did not have the opportunity to publicly exhibit her creative works that were not related to book design. Jacobson was vividly interested in the theme of gender equality, the heroes of her works - girls, women with difficult fates, forced to measure their actions, desires, habits with a traditional patriarchal structure that reigned in a Russian -Soviet society.
In the album, an attempt was made to show the new facets of Jacobson’s talent: the original master-Stankovist, a person with a personal civil position, which for many fans and experts of the "Leningrad school" will be a real discovery
