All aspects of the personality and professional activities of the outstanding architect and drawer of the first half of the 19th century Alexander Bryullov (1798–1877) were reflected in the monograph by N. A. Kalugina, written based on large -scale archival research and based on works from private and museum art collections. The publication is equipped with an extensive reference apparatus and includes bibliography, exhibition history, a detailed chronicle of life and work of the master, information about his students, the genealogical tree of the Bryullov clan and photographs from the family archive. Many works and documents are first introduced into scientific circulation.
