The collection is dedicated to the museum as the space of interaction with the past. Modern museums perform an educational function that is traditional for an educational project, providing opportunities for knowing a particular fragment of the past. At the same time, museums are increasingly taking care of the complicity of the audience, activating various aspects of their experience. Museums work with materiality, bodily, images, sounds and smells, become a place for theatrical productions and performances, go beyond the limits of museum walls into urban and digital spaces. This book is devoted to how museums of the potential of emotional perception of the past affects its representation. Using various methodological approaches, the authors of the collection - museums, historians, sociologists, culturologists, curators and playwrights - explore the techniques of affecting affect and emotions in modern and historical contexts. Museum technologies are considered in the context of the problems of public history, memory policy, cultural policy, museum theory and practice
