The author is a supporter of a return to spelling adopted in Russia before the 1917 revolution. The book is published in traditional Russian (pre -October) spelling.
The book examines the poetic world of works of Russian literature from the "Poor Lisa" Karamzin and "Dushnka" Bogdanovich to the tops of Bunin and Shmelev of the Emigrant period. The well -known works of Pushkin, Gogol, Dostoevsky, Turgenev, Tolstoy, Mandelstam, the legend of Kitezh and its opera paraphrase are interpreted by the author so that the reader can dialogically correlate his own catharsis with the vector of reading, which is proposed in this book
