The textbook is devoted to the basics of writing projects of future scientific research (English - Research Proposal) in English. The manual discusses in detail the features of the preparation of the scientific text in the genre of “Research Proposal”, as well as the basic scientific concepts and terms that form the basis of international scientific discourse are introduced and disclosed. The presented approach to the division and organization of the scientific text is taken by IMRD format, demanded by foreign scientific journals in a number of social disciplines (economics, political science, linguistics, psychology, pedagogy, etc) This approach is dictated by the logic of the presentation of the material and the selection of frequency revolutions of scientific speech proposed by the reader selected from the extensive building of English -speaking scientific publications. In the preparation of the manual, the results of modern domestic and foreign research in the field of teaching academic writing, corps linguistics and erratology were used. The manual contains a level of material and practical tasks. The material of individual chapters is illustrated by excerpts from scientific papers published in leading reviewed journals in a number of social disciplines. The manual is intended for students of higher educational institutions, which will have to prepare and protect the projects of diploma research in English. It can also be addressed to all those who are interested in the practical aspects of writing scientific works in English, taking into account international requirements and whose minimum level of English proficiency corresponds to the level of B2 on a pan -European scale. The manual can be used both in the audience and in independent work
