A course of lectures on probability theory and mathematical statistics

The book proposed for the publication contains a course of probability theory with elements of mathematical statistics, designed for the semester of a university curriculum.
For the first time, this course was read at the Moscow Engineering and Physical Institute, then in the processed and supplemented form at the faculty of computing mathematics and cybernetics and at the engineering department of the Mechanical and Mathematics Faculty of Moscow State University. The presentation of the basics of probability theory is complemented by non -standard material. So, for example, the course includes the simplest examples of Markov random processes, the law of large numbers for dependent random quantities, in particular Markov chains, elements of the theory of mass service. In addition, complete original evidence of the main theorems of the classical theory of probabilities of Poisson theorem and the central maximum theorem.
